A healthcare leader with over 20 years combined of clinical and administrative experience, Byron has worked in government, not for profit, and for-profit health systems around the country.  In addition, he has worked in the prehospital, outpatient, and inpatient settings and was the co-founder and President of UPMC Locum Clinicians and Director of Physician Recruitment and Placement for UPMC.  His most recent past roles oversaw the recruitment and operations of physician and APP locums within UPMC, physician recruitment for southwestern PA, and the physician recruitment strategy for UPMC. In addition, Byron is a recent kidney transplant recipient with his wife, Melissa Wade, being the donor (March 2023).  This life changing event inspired them to start the Wade Family Foundation with the goal of supporting people with IgA Nephropathy and living donors.
